Bud Anderson's 100th Birthday Celebration at KAUN

  • Jack Roush had his two Old Crow themed P-51's fly in for the event at KAUN.
  • Tom Dwelle (Sr.), who hosted the event in the Dwelle hangar, took a turn in the family Army L-3 before the party.
  • Julie Clark arrived and departed in her T-34.
  • Dennis Sanders made some fast passes around the pattern in one of Sanders Racing's Hawker Sea Furies.
  • Jack Roush of car racing fame had some stories to tell about Bud.
  • Flying legend, fellow test pilot Clay Lacy was in attendance at Bud Anderson's 100th birthday celebration.
  • Juan Brown brought in his Husky and did some fine reporting on his YouTube channel Blancolirio.
  • Tom (TJ) Dwelle smoked the airfield in one of the family's T-6s.
  • Bud Anderson with childhood friend and fellow WWII fighter pilot Dean Laird.

  • The Dwelle's Hawker Sea Fury, formerly the race plane Critical Mass and Blind Man's Bluff, has been restored to its original paint scheme from the 1950's by Ken Dwelle, Tom Dwelle and TJ Dwelle.
