            2025 AVIATION CAREER DAY

Inspiring people of all ages to become involved in aviation is a primary mission of the Auburn Aviation Association.  In 2025 we teamed with EAA Chapter 526Mach 5 AviationThe Richard Conte FoundationThe Munro Family and The Ellsworth Hovey Getchell Foundation to offer 8 Flight Scholarships and 2 trips to the EAA Air Academy.

On Saturday January 25, 2025, we’ll be holding our annual Aviation Career Day where you can find out more about these scholarships and the thrilling world of aviation. At this event you will meet pilots and mentors from the airlines, military, the Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Guard, Air National Guard, USAF Test Pilot/Test Pilot for Major airline, California Highway Patrol Pilots, Metro Fire SacramentoCALFIRE, Placer County Sheriff Pilots, and Alaska Bush flying. Faculty from the Sacramento City College A&P program and William Jessup University aviation programs will be present. Attendees from this program have achieved jobs at Regional/ Major AirlinesCorporate Flight Departments and CFI Flight Instructor positions at airports throughout the country. One attendee earned a pilot slot in the USAFR KC-135 Squadron at Beale AFB is now an Aircraft Commander and recently hired at a major airline. Another was hired by RAVN in Alaska as a mechanic. He is now serving as a Captain on the Cessna Caravan with Bering Air.

Special guests include Casey Long, Alaska Bush pilot and founder of LoliOlio Lodge, Alaska. Juan Browne, Blancolorio YouTube Channel and airline pilot, Auburn A&P mechanics Ian North and Luke Cody. Carol Zerbe Alaska Bush pilot and Designated FAA Pilot Examiner, Captain Tedd Stiles former interview Captain for a major airline, Captain Tierra Bickford, Airbus 320 Captain for a major airline and Captain Bryce Mitchell, retired Metro Fire of Sacramento pilot and motivational speaker.
