AVIATION CAREER DAYPlanned January 27, 2024 Pizza 12:00 Presentation 12:30 Sharp ! Inspiring people of all ages to become involved in aviation is a primary mission of Auburn Aviation Association. In 2023 we've teamed with EAA Chapter 526, Mach 5 Aviation and the Ellsworth Hovey Getchell Foundation to offer 8 Flight Scholarships. Our mentoring and interview training programs cover essential items like what to wear, how to make eye contact, shake hands properly and send a thank you note. You will meet pilots and mentors from the airlines, military, CHP, CALFIRE, Bush flying and local colleges. Attendees from this program have achieved jobs at Regional/ Major Airlines, Corporate Flight Departments and CFI Flight Instructor positions at airports throughout the country. One attendee earned a pilot slot in the USAFR KC-135 Squadron at Beale AFB and another was hired by RAVN in Alaska as a mechanic. He is now serving as a pilot with Bering Air. There will be a raffle with prizes to include AAA SWAG and online Pilot Training Ground Schools. Discover more about exciting career opportunities in aviation.
